Below is a run through of some of the most frequently asked questions we get here at Kingdom Furnishings. If we have missed anything out or you need to get it touch about anything you can get in touch via the Contact Page

Our Furniture

Does your furniture come assembled?

The vast majority of our pieces do come assembled. The only exceptions are the larger items such as double and triple armoires, beds etc...

Do you offer an assembly service?

Yes, for double and triple wardrobes our courier will assemble the wardrobe for you. Check the product page for more details. 

What Kind Of Wood Is Your Furniture Made From?

The vast majority of our pieces are made from either Mahogany or White Cedar. These are taken from sustainable well managed plantations. 

What Does Armoire Mean?

You will see the word Armoire used a lot on our site. Armoire is simply the French word for Wardrobe. 

Can I Come And View Your Furniture?

Yes of course. Seeing our furniture in person is so much better than looking at pictures on a screen. Anyone is welcome to come and visit us here in Lancashire, but we ask that you book an appointment with us first so we can make sure we are there when you arrive. 



How much do you charge for delivery?

Our delivery charges vary from piece to piece. For the larger pieces such as double wardrobes we charge £50, for smaller pieces such as console tables we charge £25. If you are placing a large order we may be able to offer you a discounted price. If you wish to place a large order you can inquire about delivery on our contact page. For some locations there will be an additional charge. (see question 'Do you deliver anywhere in the UK?')  

Can I Collect My Furniture

Yes of course. This will save you the delivery charge and makes our jobs that little bit easier. If you would like to come and collect your item then you can get in contact via the contact page. We are located near Ribchester in Lancashire. 

How long does delivery take? 

We aim to deliver all our pieces within 4 weeks of payment. In most cases we deliver much quicker than this. 

Do I need to be in when my furniture is delivered?

Yes, we need either you there or someone else who can let our courier in. We never deliver an item without first confirming with a customer that they will be home. If you are not available at the delivery date and time we give you we can rearrange for a more conventient time that fits both you and our couriers. 

Do You Deliver Overseas?

Sadly this is not something we offer. If you do live overseas and want to buy our furniture you can arrange your own courier/shipping service. Please be aware though that we cannot be held responsible for any damage to our furniture once it has left our warehouse. If we are delivering to a location in the UK and then you are shipping overseas privately, we recommend checking the item before it leaves the UK. We can not accept returns from overseas as our policices only cover items delivered here in the UK (see terms and conditions). 

Do you deliver anywhere in the UK?

Our courier service only delivers to mainland UK. If you live in Northern Ireland or on any of the Isles you are welcome to buy from us and arrange your own courier service. For delivery to the North of Scotland we do have to charge an additional fee. If you live north of Glasgow/Edinburgh please get in touch via the contact page and we can give you a delivery quote for your exact location. There is also a small additional charge for some locations in Cornwall. We now also have to charge an additional £15 to addresses located in Central London that come under the congestion charge, this is due to the new Ultra Low Emissions Charge. 

Will your courier carry my furniture up stairs for me?

Currently due to Covid issues our courier is only offering a door step delivery service for most items. In some cases he will help you get the item into postition but this is left to the courier discretion. 



I don't like my furniture, do you accept returns?

If you are not happy with your furniture then we do accept returns. If there is nothing wrong with the furniture however, you will be charged the original delivery fee, plus a return fee for us having to come back and collect the furniture. If you want to return an item you must get in contact with us to start the return within 28 days of recieving the item. We can not accept returns if more than 28 days have passed. 

What if my furniture turns up damaged?

On rare occasions things do go wrong and furniture can get damaged in transit. If this is the case then we will either replace the item if we have another one in stock or give you a full refund. We will not charge you any additional delivery if the fault was ours or our couriers. A refund will only be issued once the furniture has been collected by our courier. 

How Do I Return My Item?

Simply get in touch with us via the contact page and we will give you a call to arrange the return. 



How do you take payment?

Payment on the website is done via Paypal. You don't need a Paypal account you simply need a credit or debit card. As with all Paypal payments your purchase is insured so this gives you complete peace of mind. 

Can I pay cash on collection?

Yes, if you are coming to collect your furniture then we can accept cash on collection. 

Do prices include VAT?

Yes, we are a VAT registered company and all the prices you see do include VAT so there are no nasty suprises when you come to pay. 

Is Your Website Safe To Use?

We take online security very seriously here at Kingdom Furnishings. We have a regisitered SSL certificate in place and we use a secure server. You will see the little padlock symbol on your browser when you are on our website. This means any information you enter is fully encrypted and kept safe and private.
